AETHERSIGHT ingame permissions. Because Emet really is 'that guy'.

Emet-Selch has an ability called Aethersight: he can perceive the unique aether signature of the people he encounters and he is very good at it. It's essentially like being able to see a magical or signature aura around people - he is so talented at it that he can pick people out specifically across vast distances and even pull people out of Aetherstreams if he should desire.

What this means is that Emet-Selch will be able to pick up on a character's "aura" and make note of their specific signature, should you wish him to! Auras are usually mixed with specific colours depending on their elemental leanings, like so:

Earth: yellow and gold. Fire: all kinds of red. Lightning: all kinds of purple. Water: dark, deep blues. Ice: light blues. Wind: all kinds of green. Light (meaning statis, passiveness): white. Darkness (meaning activity, growing): black.

Please comment below if you'd like to share what sort of signature you think your character would have and if you're happy for Emet to pick up on it and perhaps make some disparaging comment on the nature of your soul.

Zenos' soul has a very familiar sort of color to it, the paleness of only being 7/14ths whole aside! Rather different from the Zenos of Emet's world, a violet-etched cerulean, with other hints of paler and darker mostly in these hues.

Yosuke Otoha (bakegarasu): Otoha doesn't really have an elemental leaning. If anything it'd be black, but that's not really a super strong association.

Also his soul is in his amulet that he carries with him at all times.


Ken Amada (AU) (miseris_socios): Purple/lightning. He does have light-based spells, I don't know how that'd show up. It's not static for him, light's just another element on the list in his canon.

His Persona might show up a bit weirdly since it's a part of him but he can summon it! So enjoy that weirdness.


Naoya (crouching_sin): Slight tint towards light blue for ice... but there's probably a decent amount of white in there. His soul's very old. Not as old as Emet's by far, but several millennia old.

Thanatos | Hades Game

So, Thanatos is Death Incarnate/God of Death and the son of Nyx who is Night Incarnate. He's usually Darkness aligned or like a starry-night sky given his domain, heritage, and being chthonic.

However, Thanatos isn't really activity and growth, which to me speaks of Life instead of Death. Yet... he is constantly busy with his job and duty. It's important to him, and he's slowly starting to grow as a person, especially on the train.

He's also a bit of Light because he's collects the shades of those who have died "peaceful" deaths, but he's rather passive about it. He doesn't choose how or when people die. (That's up to the Three Fates or if he gets specific assignments from Lord Hades and Mother Nyx.) He's also stuck in his ways which is a bit like stasis...

If Rezo's soul has any particular elemental leanings it'd probably be darkness? In canon he's mostly seen using either healing magic or astral magic, iirc.

He formerly had a fragment of an evil god-like entity known as Shabranigdu sealed within his soul, not sure how that'd affect his aura. The seal is still there but Shabranigdu is not.

Roland's aura will most likely be black, with the occasional darting of white. He's also very welcome to note that Roland's soul is quite strange for a regular person- as if it was both a half of something else, but still whole at the same time. (This is accounted by the fact that he is the canonical soulmate of his world's cursed, immortal bad guy; when something happens to the other, they feel it literally and spiritually. They are intrinsically and inexplicably connected.)

Opting-out for spoilers as well. I'm only just now starting Endwalker :) So anything beyond The Seat of Sacrifice and events after ShB are alien territory. Thank you!

Hello hello, SO idk if Emet-Selch would be about to tell, but Tidus is the equivalent of a summon-made individual where he's from. He's a dream human, and his elemental is def leaning towards water. And whatever Time magic looks like. whoosh gotta go fast.
